Rooms & rates

Every room knows the tide.

Fourteen rooms across three floors of the old warehouse, no two the same shape because the building refused to cooperate. All rates include breakfast at The Shuck, and none of them include a television, on purpose.

A bright coastal suite with white panelling, a striped headboard and blue cushions
Sleeps 2 · Sea view · First floor

The Ostrea Suite

The old counting house, now the best seat over the sea wall. A super-king bed, a window seat built for whole afternoons, and a roll-top bath with the same view as the gulls.

  • Super-king bed
  • Roll-top bath and walk-in shower
  • Window seat over the sea wall
  • Decanter of Kentish cider on arrival
From £245 a night
A light-filled bedroom with white bedding and soft morning sun through sheer curtains
Sleeps 2 · Sea view · Four rooms

Sea Wall Rooms

Front of house, waves for neighbours. King beds, linen from a Kentish mill, and the kind of morning light that makes an early swim feel like your own idea.

  • King bed
  • Rainfall shower
  • Binoculars and tide times provided
  • Roberts radio, no televisions
From £185 a night
A cosy attic bedroom with white boarded ceiling, robes laid on the bed and lanterns either side
Sleeps 2 · Attic hideaway · Top floor

The Crow's Nest

Up two flights, under the eaves, entirely worth it. A hideaway of white boards and low beams with a porthole view of the estuary and the best sunset in the building.

  • Double bed under the eaves
  • Porthole estuary view
  • Not one for tall guests, honestly
  • Robes and proper books provided
From £165 a night

Six further Yard Rooms overlook the courtyard and the fig tree, from £145 a night. Quieter, cheaper, and favoured by regulars who have already seen the sea.
